Jennifer is a designer and typography lover who would rather buy fonts instead of shoes.
Welcome to 24th & Dune - a one-woman design studio by me, Jennifer Thomke. My design aesthetic is clean, modern and simple. I love coming up with fresh, new designs that are outside of the box. My design style is ever evolving and showcases my passion for all things design. I find inspiration everywhere - from clothing fabrics and children's books to color combinations and typography.
In college I majored in Journalism with a concentration in Advertising. I fast tracked my education, always taking an art class, and after three years was done. That is, until I realized I wanted to be a graphic designer. My mother and grandparents urged me to follow my dreams. I stayed in school and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a B.S. in graphic design and B.A. in journalism.
Prior to launching 24th & Dune, I held a design position with Hawkins Creative Services in Boston. I moved to Pennsylvania in 2007 with my now husband and became the Senior Graphic Designer at Brodart Company and then the following year made the move to Susquehanna Health System to be their Principle Graphic Designer. After the birth of my first daughter in 2009, I decided to put my small business knowledge to use and become a freelance designer.
